May 31st, 2000, Yu~ki, Mana and Közi released both the single and video of "Kyomu no Naka de no Yuugi" (虚無の中での遊戯; Amusement in Nihilism). With lyrics and music written by Mana, it was a move for MALICE MIZER into dark wave with a classical addition of choir and organ.

May 31st, 2004, Moi dix Mois released their second single, "Shadows Temple". Juka was the vocalist along with a mysterious Shadow X contributing death vocals to the song. The second song on the disc was "Night Breed".

May 30th

 

May 30th, 2001, MALICE MIZER released their single "Gardenia". Songwriter Mana said it's light after the darkness of "Bara no Seidou". The other song on the disc was "Houkai Jokyoku" which was in a darker industrial rock style.

May 29th

 

May 29th is the birthday of musician and artist Közi. Co-founder of MALICE MIZER, Közi's career has spanned decades. Besides his solo work, he is a member of various bands including ZIZ, DALLE, and VAMQUET.

May 29th, 1998, MALICE MIZER performed at Sapporo-shi Kyouiku Bunka Kaikan on their  "merveilles ~Shûen to kisu~" tour. Songs included Bel Air ~kuuhaku no toki no naka de~, E-GE ~sugisarishi kaze to tomoni~,  Ju te veux, and ma chérie ~itoshii kimi e~. 

May 28th

 

May 28th, 2008, Kanon Wakeshima's first single, "still doll" was released. Composed, arranged and produced by Mana with Kanon writing the lyrics and playing several instruments, the song reached 33 on Oricon's single's chart and was the anime Vampire Knights' ending song.

May 27th

 

May 27th, 2003, Moi dix Mois performed as part of "stylishwave" MegaForce at Shibuya Kokaido (Public Hall). Opening acts were Metronome and Shulla. Also performing were Plastic Tree and Dasein.

May 26th

 May 26th, 2021, ROCK AND READ 095 was released with a write-up and photos of Moi dix Mois three days of shows for Mana's birthday that year.

May 23rd

 

May 23, 1998, MALICE MIZER had a fan club limited live at Ichikawa City Cultural Center as part of their "merveilles ~Shûen to kisu~ tour. Songs included Syunikiss, Madrigal, BRISE, Au Revoir, and Gekka No Yasoukyoku.   

May 22nd

 

May 22nd, 1993, MALICE MIZER performed at Shinjuku ANTIKNOCK. Songs played included Freeze Me, Lafflesia, Kioku to Sora, Shuumaku e no tobira, Sphere of God, and Speed of desperate.  

May 20th

 

May 20th, 1998, MALICE MIZER released their fourth single from the album merveilles, "Illuminati [P-type]". Along with an instrumental version of the song, the single also included the song "N-p-s N-g-s (N-Type)".

May 19th

 

May 19th, 2007, Moi dix Mois performed their first DIXANADU ~ Fated "raisond'être" ~ show at LIQUIDROOM in Shibuya, prior to the tour in Japan and Europe that year. Songs included Metaphysical, Night breed, Lamentful Miss, Lilac of Damnation, and deus ex machina.
