May 31st, 2000, Yu~ki, Mana and Közi released both the single and video of "Kyomu no Naka de no Yuugi" (虚無の中での遊戯; Amusement in Nihilism). With lyrics and music written by Mana, it was a move for MALICE MIZER into dark wave with a classical addition of choir and organ.

May 31st, 2004, Moi dix Mois released their second single, "Shadows Temple". Juka was the vocalist along with a mysterious Shadow X contributing death vocals to the song. The second song on the disc was "Night Breed".

May 30th, 2001, MALICE MIZER released their single "Gardenia". Songwriter Mana said it's light after the darkness of "Bara no Seidou". The other song on the disc was "Houkai Jokyoku" which was in a darker industrial rock style.

May 29th

 

May 29th is the birthday of musician and artist Közi. Co-founder of MALICE MIZER, Közi's career has spanned decades. Besides his solo work, he is a member of various bands including ZIZ, DALLE, and VAMQUET.

May 29th, 1998, MALICE MIZER performed at Sapporo-shi Kyouiku Bunka Kaikan on their  "merveilles ~Shûen to kisu~" tour. Songs included Bel Air ~kuuhaku no toki no naka de~, E-GE ~sugisarishi kaze to tomoni~,  Ju te veux, and ma chérie ~itoshii kimi e~. 

May 28th

 

May 28th, 2008, Kanon Wakeshima's first single, "still doll" was released. Composed, arranged and produced by Mana with Kanon writing the lyrics and playing several instruments, the song reached 33 on Oricon's single's chart and was the anime Vampire Knights' ending song.

May 27th, 2003, Moi dix Mois performed as part of "stylishwave" MegaForce at Shibuya Kokaido (Public Hall). Opening acts were Metronome and Shulla. Also performing were Plastic Tree and Dasein.

 May 26th, 2021, ROCK AND READ 095 was released with a write-up and photos of Moi dix Mois three days of shows for Mana's birthday that year.

May 23, 1998, MALICE MIZER had a fan club limited live at Ichikawa City Cultural Center as part of their "merveilles ~Shûen to kisu~ tour. Songs included Syunikiss, Madrigal, BRISE, Au Revoir, and Gekka No Yasoukyoku.

May 22nd, 1993, MALICE MIZER performed at Shinjuku ANTIKNOCK. Songs played included Freeze Me, Lafflesia, Kioku to Sora, Shuumaku e no tobira, Sphere of God, and Speed of desperate.

May 20th, 1998, MALICE MIZER released their fourth single from the album merveilles, "Illuminati [P-type]". Along with an instrumental version of the song, the single also included the song "N-p-s N-g-s (N-Type)".

May 19th, 2007, Moi dix Mois performed their first DIXANADU ~ Fated "raisond'être" ~ show at LIQUIDROOM in Shibuya, prior to the tour in Japan and Europe that year. Songs included Metaphysical, Night breed, Lamentful Miss, Lilac of Damnation, and deus ex machina.

May 19th, 2014, was the loss of Moi dix Mois guitarist K. He was much loved by fans and band members, and by those who followed him as DJ Dr. Kranken. He will always be remembered.

May 14th, 2022, Mana joined fellow musician Shinya on a stroll through Sugamo. It was for a video shown on Shinya's YouTube channel.

May 13th, 2019, Mana made a dark and elegant appearance with the new Moi-même-Moitié Bat Cloak. The YouTube video gave us a glimpse into the photo shoot, set to Moi dix Mois' song "Pendulum".

May 12th, 2018, Moi-même-Moité and Mana held『密会〜赤き血の誘惑〜』Rendezvous  ~Temptation of Crimson Blood~ secret meeting at Vampire Cafe. Of course Vampire Rose was there also.

 May 9th, 2020, Mana released a very cool Moi dix Mois medley video on the Moi-même-Moitié YouTube channel. The songs are Metaphysical ~ Dead Scape ~ forbidden ~ The SECT ~ and an unreleased Pageant live. The videos were from live shows and Mana's at home performances.

May 7th, 2022, the online salon "Blue Roses' Secret Garden ~ May secret garden ~" event with Mana was held in Tokyo. Guests including Ryux, Sena and Naoyuki Kurata.

May 5th, 1996, MALICE MIZER finished their sold out TOKYO 3DAYS IN CLUB HOUSE lives at Ikebukuro CYBER.

May 5th, 2020, Mana added to Chef Mana-sama's Elegant Gothic Cooking videos ~"real men shut up and bear the heat!". A hot time happened on Moi-même-Moitié's YouTube channel and fans were thrilled!

May 4th, 1996, MALICE MIZER continued their sold out TOKYO 3DAYS IN CLUB HOUSE lives at  Shinjuku LOFT.

May 4th, 2007, Moi dix Mois' international Dixanadu Digipack : 2 CD album was released by Trisol Music Group. There was also a limited edition two vinyl disc set. Both included the single "Lamentful Miss".

May 3rd

 

May 3rd is the birthday of Haruna Masaki, better known as the singer Klaha. First with Pride of Mind, he joined MALICE MIZER as lead singer and vampire film star. After a foray as a solo artist, Klaha left public life. お誕生日おめでとうございますKlaha, wherever you are .

May 3rd, 1996, MALICE MIZER performed their first show in the TOKYO 3DAYS IN CLUB HOUSE series at Meguro Rockmaykan. The shows were sold out.

May 3rd, 2020 Mana performed a Moi dix Mois favorite song up close. The video for "The SECT" was released on Moi-même-Moitié's YouTube channel.
