I mentioned Sakae Sushi in my post the other day. It's a unique place outside of Japan because they only sell sushi to go and the types of sushi are limited to six. But that doesn't mean it's not popular.
In fact it's perfect for picnics, parties and sakura viewing. Which was why a few years ago we got a box with everything. Top is tofu skin inarizushi, the yellow is egg tamago maki, below this is mackerel saba oshizushi and shrimp ebi oshizushi. Bottom row is delicious futomaki.
And because this is about sakura viewing here are a few photos from our hanami of the cherry trees at Columbia Park in Torrance, California.
Columbia Park is located at 4045 190th St., Torrance, California. Sakae Sushi can be found at 1601 W. Redondo Beach Blvd, Ste 112, Gardena, CA 90247.
