It's not the first time I have seen Mount Shasta.
I actually drove up it once in the past.
But it's so impressive that even taking photos while driving past it on Interstate 5 a camera can't help but focus right on it.
The north side shows the carving created by glaciers, lava flows and weather.
Because Mount Shasta is a dormant stratovolcano with four cones including Mount Shastina on the left. There are still fumeroles that vent steam and gases. Mount Shasta isn't done being a volcano yet.
