Like a ghost in the sky

Still working to see what will look best. For now, here is the other volcano we can see from Portland, Oregon. Mt. St. Helens. Impressive now but before it must have looked massive from the tram station at OHSU before it erupted in 1980.

  1. I think Mt St Helens and Fuji-san might be distant cousins. :)

    1. She actually was compared to Mt Fuji due to having a similar shape till she blew her top. I wish I had seen her before that happened. If she doesn't blow up again maybe some day she will look similar again.

  2. You definitely have beautiful sunsets over there! So this is the view you were mentioning the other day... Even with the top blown away she is still magnificent!

    1. Autumn afternoons when it's fairly clear has lovely light here. I never felt that when I lived in Southern California. Pretty sunsets there too but there is something about the light up here which makes taking photos more fun.

I do have to get up there next year to see the mountain up close. Also Mt. Hood which I haven't been to. Just St. Helens has such a mystic.
