Two Years Ago
Very hard to come up with words regarding what happened two years ago and after that. What I can say is it's sad that not much has changed with many of those in "charge" of things both there and here.
Last July went out to Agate Beach. It was very windy which made it difficult to film. But I strongly wanted to. I felt in a way seeing this dock that came all the way from Misawa represented the many lives that were lost and all of those that were altered.
Maybe one day I will get to go to Misawa and see where it came from.

That's the Japan tsunami dock? It followed you to Oregon? Thanks for posting this!
ReplyDeleteHere in Japan we're all remembering - quietly, without words - that day two years ago. Meantime, life continues while the catfish under our islands remains quiet, for now ...
Yup, that is one of them. I have heard of one or two more but this is the one that made landfall at an accessible beach.
DeleteHere it is an evil whale that the thunderbird did battle with. Hoping the whale and catfish both keep to quiet little rumbles.
This dock witnessed devastating disasters and flowed to Oregon. The photo made me speechless. I just join my hands and pray for Tohoku.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for sharing this.

Thank you for your comment Keiko. Yes it was devastating. I hope for better times for Tohoku.
