Sunday Stroll: Long Beach California
Just a few photos today from along the bluffs of Long Beach, California.
And across the water looking at downtown.
Sunset at Belmont Shore Pier. Plus more if you want to keep looking.
These are oil wells disguised as island. The man-made islands are named after the three astronauts, Grissom, White, and Chaffee, that died when Apollo 1 caught fire. The fourth island is named for Theodore Freeman. He was a test pilot who was chosen to be an astronaut but passed away in a plane crash in 1964. The photo is of White Island.
