Hamamatsucho Station's Manneken Pis
Tokyo is rather well known for it's public art work found all over the city. One of these statues just happens to be at Hamamatsucho Station. It's a little hard to find. You have to walk to the south end of the 3/4 lines platform.
But it's worth it because every month this little Manneken Pis is dressed in a different outfit sponsored by Shiba Fire Department. This started in 1968 and they change his clothing on the 26th of each month. The outfits are hand-made by a Minato volunteer group called Ajisai.
Being December the theme was obviously Santa Claus. I don't know how they fit that Christmas Tree on there. A porcelain Manneken Pis was originally installed in 1952 and replaced in 1968 with this bronze statue.
