The River Kamogawa, Gion, Kyoto

(from 3/22 to 3/24, 2008)

This is a few photos (well more than a few) from 3/22 and 3/23 and maybe 3/24. It all kinda ran together. The tea houses and preserved streets of Gion were right where our ryokan was, so it was easy to spend time exploring the area each day.

Yes, sakura or cherry blossoms

Plants are loved so much they are planted in even the smallest spaces.

My original post was so big that I will be breaking it into three parts for here.
Thank you for reading this.

  6. Thanks jaydeejapan. You definitely should go. It's a really interesting place and it's fun to run into geiko and maiko like we did. I want to go back to Kyoto and explore even more.
